After a disastrous start to the rugby season when the Bournemouth RFC 1st XV lost their first 7 rugby games, they managed to turn things around and finished the season losing only 3 of the remaining 20 games, quite a turnaround! Only two rugby clubs beat Bournemouth Rugby Club home and away, Chinnor RFC and Bracknell RFC, and they finished first and second in the South West Division One respectively. So, all in all, our final position of fifth in South West One at our first attempt, was quite respectable but begs the question, ‘if only?’.
