From Youth Rugby to the Lions: Callum Rees Makes Senior Debut

Another Bournemouth Rugby pathway player has reached an important milestone after Callum Rees made his senior Lions debut against Maidenhead.

Callum has been part of Bournemouth Rugby throughout his development, progressing through the club’s youth pathway before earning his opportunity within the senior squad.

From the Pathway to Senior Rugby

Developing players capable of progressing into senior rugby remains an important part of Bournemouth Rugby’s future.

The pathway gives young players the opportunity to develop their game within the club before taking their next step into the senior environment.

For Callum, that journey has now resulted in pulling on the Lions shirt at senior level.

His debut came during Bournemouth’s home fixture against Maidenhead at Chapel Gate on Saturday 10 October.

A Proud Moment for the Club

Seeing another player who has grown through the Bournemouth Rugby system step into the senior game is a moment the whole club can celebrate.

It is also recognition of the many coaches, volunteers and people involved throughout the Youth, Colts, Academy and Senior sections who help players progress through the club.

Congratulations, Callum.
