U16s Player of the Month – Alex

Having won Most Improved Player last season, Alex has continued to build on his development throughout the summer and pre-season period. His commitment to improving his strength and fitness in his own time has been impressive and clearly reflected in his performances on the pitch.

As one of the forwards, Alex has taken every opportunity to develop his game — joining sessions with the Colts to enhance his lineout skills, scrummaging technique, and ball-carrying effectiveness.

Over the summer, he also represented Bournemouth Rugby at the National Junior Touch Cup, playing up an age group with the U18s. His ability to adapt his rugby skills to the fast-paced touch format highlights both his versatility and game awareness.

Off the pitch, Alex is a true clubman — regularly supporting the 1st Team at home games and volunteering his time to referee and assist with younger age groups at matches and tournaments.

A well-deserved recognition for a player who consistently demonstrates dedication, teamwork, and passion for the game.
