As the curtain falls on another thrilling season, Bournemouth Rugby U10s gathered to celebrate their collective achievements and honour the outstanding progress of each player. The annual Youth and Mini Awards, held with great fanfare, highlighted the unwavering dedication and determination displayed by the entire team throughout the season.
Amidst the applause and jubilation, Bournemouth Rugby u10s took a moment to recognize one of their own who embarked on a new journey. Owen Schulkins, a talented player who moved to the United States with his family last year, has continued to shine in the world of rugby. Owen’s recent accolade serves as a testament to his commitment and passion, leaving us immensely proud.
Wimborne festival marked the grand finale of the season for Bournemouth Rugby U10s. As the young athletes took to the field, their skills on both offense and defence left spectators in awe. Throughout the day, they scarcely conceded a try, while running in tries with gusto. The teams performance led to their well-deserved recognition with the TREDS award, embodying the values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, and sportsmanship. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the team’s unyielding unity.
Coaches’ Player of the Season: Within the heart of the team lies a player who epitomizes passion, dedication, and skill. This player’s involvement in every play, their ability to influence attacking moves, and their unwavering defence make them an indispensable asset. It is with great admiration and pride that the Coaches’ Player of the Season award was presented to Toby Warington-Smyth. Toby’s tenacity, combined with his commitment to upholding the values of teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, and sportsmanship, has set a shining example for his peers.
Most Improved Player: The remarkable growth and development exhibited by each player throughout the season made selecting the Most Improved Player an arduous task. However, one player’s remarkable progress in terms of confidence, particularly in tackling, stood out. Their unwavering determination and knack for delivering try-saving tackles on numerous occasions set them apart. With well-deserved recognition, Leo Morison claimed the Most Improved Player award, symbolising his immense commitment and hard work.
Parents’ Player of the Season: Recognising the invaluable support and encouragement provided by parents, Bournemouth Rugby introduced the Parents’ Player of the Season award. This honour was bestowed upon a player who consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication, not only on the field but also in controlling the game from the centre. The recipient, Ted Fewings, showcased his unwavering commitment, rarely missing a tackle and serving as an inspiration to his teammates.
Player’s Player of the Season: The ultimate accolade, the Player’s Player of the Season award, holds a special place in the hearts of Bournemouth Rugby U10s. Chosen by their fellow players, this award recognises a standout performer who not only exhibited significant personal growth but also contributed wholeheartedly to the team’s achievements. Reece Wigley, with his trademark dummy moves and relentless determination, secured the admiration and respect of his teammates, making him a deserving recipient of this prestigious accolade.
