For over six years, Tony Foster has been the heartbeat of Bournemouth Rugby Club as the Match Day Co-ordinator. His dedication and unwavering support have left an indelible mark on our community.
Tony’s journey with the club didn’t begin with his official role; he was a passionate fan for years before stepping into his current position. His love for the game and the club shines through in every aspect of his work.
As the Match Day Co-ordinator, Tony wore many hats. From welcoming visiting teams and referees to organising volunteers and ensuring smooth operations on game days, Tony’s commitment never wavered. His warm demeanor and infectious enthusiasm made everyone feel at home at Chapel Gate.
But Tony’s contributions extended beyond the administrative duties. He was the mastermind behind the delicious post-match treats that became synonymous with Bournemouth Rugby First XV on a Saturday. From cookies to cream egg brownies and carrot cake, Tony ensured that players, Chapel Gate with smiles on their faces whatever the result.
While Tony may be hanging up his rugby baking apron for a while and stepping back from his official duties, his spirit will continue to resonate within the club. He may not be orchestrating match day logistics, but you can bet he’ll be in the stands when he can, cheering on the lads with the same fervor and passion that defined his tenure.
Tony, your hard work, dedication, and infectious spirit have left an indelible mark on Bournemouth Rugby Club. We are immensely grateful for everything you’ve done, and while you may be stepping back, your legacy will endure.
Thank you, Tony, for everything.
