Bournemouth’s Under 13’s rugby team have had a fantastic season, successfully retaining their Dorset & Wilts title. The Coaches’ Player of the Season award was presented to Tom Reay, a talented back player. Tom’s exceptional attributes included remarkable pace, balance, and composure on the ball. He showcased his versatility by not only being a threat in attack but also displaying great defensive skills. Tom’s presence on the field brought an element of steel to the team’s defense, making him a crucial player in the squad.
The Players’ Player award went to William Dawson, a recent addition to the club. Despite joining the team relatively recently, William quickly made a positive impact with his hard work and commitment. He excelled in tackling, rucking, and showed his prowess in direct running. Moreover, he embodied the TREDS values of the club, making him a true team player.
The Most Improved Player award was shared between Robin Chang and Aidan Hincks. Robin, who joined the team this season, initially played as a back but later transitioned to the forward position. Throughout the year, he worked tirelessly to develop his skills and competitiveness, eventually becoming a confident member of the team. Robin’s progress and determination were evident, and his improvement was duly recognized.
Aidan, on the other hand, had been a part of the team for a few years, but his growth had been particularly remarkable this season. Known for his exceptional speed, fabulous balance, and exciting running ability from the wing, Aidan brought joy to his rugby and was a popular member of the team. His progress and performance were appreciated by both the coaching staff and his teammates.
